My current favorite.

I've always found it puzzling to choose a "favorite" portion of Scripture but over the last week or so I have landed on a portion of one verse that really speaks to me. Now it's just part of the verse but here's what it says: "aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands" ... Now that portion seems particularly relevant for today because the next several paragraphs speak about "The Coming of the Lord" ... and "The Day of the Lord." I believe that all we are called to ... or, at least, primarily called to ... be quiet, stay out of others "business" and ... do the work The Lord has provided for us. Of course all of that is worthy of some study ... but hey ... when one is quiet ... one can still search ... and study, eh?

I hope your days are blessed with the peace and hope of the Gospel. The Church is rising to meet Him today.
