2 Octave Goncalo Alves Bowed Psaltery #5475
This 2 octave bowed psaltery features a top of bookmatched Goncalo Alves. This wood grows in Central and South America. The edge binding is Curly Maple laminated with a Purpleheart stripe. The inner rosette is also Maple. The sides are Maple with some Birdseye figuring, and the pinblock is Hard Maple The back is Cherry. This instrument ranges from G (above middle C) up to G (two octaves above middle C.) It comes with an adjustable horsehair bow, tuning wrench, rosin, tuning chart, extra wire and an instruction and care booklet.
