"ARISE, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth, And deep darkness the peoples; But the Lord will rise upon you, And His glory will appear upon you, And nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising." (NAS, Isaiah 60:1- 3)

This is one of my favorite Scriptures from Isaiah! I think of the first two sentences as the Spirit's "voice" to a lost sinner at the moment of conversion as He, the Spirit, takes great JOY in doing His regenerative work. It truly is a glorious moment to RISE up & SHINE in the light of Jesus, our risen Savior! The memory of that moment never leaves me! It was the defining moment of my earthly existence! Thanks for sharing. It's been a while since I read this particular verse.
