Hammered Psalteries
If you've ever wondered about playing a hammered dulcimer, but feel intimidated by the size or number of strings, then our new Hammered Psalteries are PERFECT for you! These psalteries offer a unique flexibility of playing styles; they can be hammered, plucked with a pick, or plucked with fingers (with one or both hands!)... it's like having three instruments in one! They're lightweight and portable - only 3 lbs!

The Hammered Psalteries have a laminate back and top, and a solid Northern Rock Maple body. We are offering them with various finishes as well: Natural, Rosewood, Walnut and Ebony. Complete with the Signature JRS rosette on each one. We have also added jeweled note markers on the tonic and 5th for ease of playing without music.
We offer with each Hammered Psaltery a pair of lightweight hammers, gooseneck tuning wrench, pick, a 4" peg that attaches to the back for angled positioning, and a set of 12 song sheets, including: Amazing Grace, Shenandoah, The Battle Hymn of the Republic, Morning Has Broken, Sound of Silence, What Child is This, Oh Susanna, Michael Row the Boat Ashore, Wildwood Flower, Auld Lang Syne, You are My Sunshine, and Down in the Valley.
